i wasn't sure when i ordered this if i had to assemble it. i also wasn't confident how sturdy such an inexpensive table would be. i have to let you know it's great. the chairs have a great deal of weight to them (they don't really feel low-cost at all) and also the table is just as very good. the assembly was simple. perhaps two hours. the color is nice too. we have it in our living/dining room and it matches nicely with all the other furniture (the pricey stuff). i purchased this table simply because my husband and i will only be in our apartment a short time. not realizing what kind of dining table the subsequent apartment will permit (we live in NYC and space is an problem) i did not want one thing "nice" in case i have to get rid of it. my husband couldn't think how much it price due to the fact it is so comfortable and solid feeling.
